In this role, you'll:
Be part of one of Australia's largest operational service delivery teams, and will be supported to build your career within Sydney Trains. As a Customer Service Attendant, you'll get hands-on experience and work with a group of enthusiastic individuals who are all about providing top-notch customer service and thrive on keeping everyone safe.
You will be the go-to person for helping passengers who need a little extra help during their journey, or simply a friendly smile to brighten their day!
You will gain some valuable experience through tasks such as flagging trains, using high-tech equipment, connecting with train crew and keeping the station in tip-top shape!

About you
- You are of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent and identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and is accepted as such by the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
- Your positive and reliable attitude, formed across various customer-facing roles, will see you excel as a Part-Time Customer Service Attendant.

- You must be available and willing to work rotating shifts including shift work, late nights, early mornings, weekends and public holidays. Extended hours may be necessary at short notice.
- Own transport is beneficial as some shift start times are out of train operating hours.

This is an in-person, on-site role.
The full time pay rate for this position is $1,241.50 per week PRO RATA, including the Industry Allowance. As a part time employee, you will be paid on a pro-rata basis calculated on your agreed hours of work. In addition you will also receive Superannuation and Annual Leave Loading benefits.
For permanent positions in the NSW Public Sector, you need to be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident. For most Temporary jobs, you need a visa that gives you permission to work in Australia. To be considered for these roles you must be 18 years of age.
Applicants will need to complete merit based selection activities and will be subject to satisfactory medical, drug & alcohol and criminal record checks as part of the selection process.
Important note: The Customer Service Attendant position is Permanent Part-Time working a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight. You will be required to work a rotational roster where your days, start and finish times will vary based on business requirements.
