In this role, you'll:
Transport for NSW is seeking a dedicated and skilled Asset Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our assets operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry regulations.
This role involves conducting assessments, providing technical guidance, and performing data analysis to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The Asset Engineer will collaborate with operators, stakeholders, and contract managers to enhance asset performance, optimize lifecycle management, and ensure accurate asset documentation and record-keeping.

About you
• Support the development of technical assurance frameworks to meet business and legislative requirements, enabling effective communication on performance and compliance.
• Analyse asset performance and operational requirements, focusing on system safety and reliability to meet business needs and develop strategies for inclusion in Asset Strategy Plans (ASPs).
• Provide subject matter expertise to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring contract performance requirements are met.
• Collaborate with operators, maintainers, contract managers, partners, and various stakeholders across Transport divisions to support the development of the annual Asset and Services Plan (ASP), asset strategies, and work programs to achieve key performance outcomes.
Essential:
• Extensive experience in asset management in complex engineering environments
• Demonstrated capacity in technical assurance audits, and analysing operational data to identify performance trends
• Thorough knowledge of the processes involved in managing the entire lifecycle of assets, from acquisition and operation to maintenance and replacement
• Bus experience is highly desirable
