Reporting to the Group Chief Technology Officer you will be an integral part of our newly established Branch Leadership Team. In this role you will lead the Transport Cluster cyber security capability. You will safeguard Transport for NSW, digital assets, infrastructure and information against cyber security threats.  You will provide advice to the cluster agencies to support greater resilience to cyber threats. You will drive policy and minimum standards for cyber security, develop and manage a panel of information security services and drive a culture of risk management and awareness across the Transport cluster. In this role you will also manage and track the IT risk, audit and compliance functions.

 

The role will see you responsible for proactively identifying, evaluating, and mitigating cyber security risks and communicating and coordinating efforts to protect Transport for NSW. Your responsibilities will also include coordination with the state whole of government cyber function (Cyber Security NSW) as well as the relevant federal and state government agencies.

About You


You are a qualified, experienced information security officer looking for an opportunity to build a world class cyber security within an organisation that is subject to high levels of public scrutiny:

 

  • You will have demonstrated experience at a high reliability organisation developing, leading, and driving cyber security across a diverse, complex organisation.
  • You are an influencer and thought leader in delivering cyber security advice.
  • You will have demonstrated experience, knowledge and understanding of building security governance, security controls and cyber security policies within complex organisations.
  • You bring a deep understanding of operational technology security.
  • You are experienced in creating, delivering and maintaining clear outcomes focused cyber security and governance frameworks across a large scale organisation.
  • You will understand the balance of addressing customer requirements whilst adhering to other regulatory, policy, government and operational conditions.
  • You have strong experience reporting cyber security matters to Board level.
  • You have the ability to articulate complex concepts and put forward compelling arguments and rationales to all levels and types of audiences.
  • You are experienced in building, developing and leading high performing teams.
  • You embrace a delivery mindset as the cluster continues to transform.
