Director Compliance & Automated Enforcement
Sydney, NSW, AU, 2000
You’re a creative leader with a curious and open mindset. You’re not afraid to forge new paths, find new ways of doing things and share your learnings.
You’ll have the opportunity to use your expertise in communication, problem-solving, empathy and conflict resolution to help thousands of people every day.
In this role, you'll:
Take charge of leading Transport’s automated camera enforcement programs across NSW to deliver impactful, future-focused road safety regulatory outcomes. You’ll drive the strategic direction for compliance, asset management, adjudication, and enforcement across fixed and mobile camera networks, ensuring systems are robust, innovative, and aligned with legislative standards.
You will also lead the development and delivery of compliance and investigation strategies across third-party regulated entities in the licensing and vehicle registration portfolios, working closely with stakeholders to enhance compliance and regulatory assurance performance. Your leadership will be critical in embedding a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the branch.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading the end-to-end lifecycle of automated camera enforcement systems, including certification, testing, maintenance, and operational monitoring, ensuring system integrity and alignment with legislation and road safety outcomes.
• Overseeing enforcement operations, including adjudication processes, compliance support, and delivery of capital works to expand camera programs, while managing supplier performance and large-scale outsourced activities.
• Partnering across Transport to influence policy, trial emerging technologies, and shape data-driven strategies that deliver on the Road Safety Action Plan and support long-term regulatory transformation.
