In this role, you'll:
Report to the Executive Director Network & Development leading the development of integrated transport plans and projects, aligning infrastructure, services, and policy to drive strategic improvements and support NSW government objectives.

Provide high-level leadership for integrated network planning and prioritisation for exciting rail projects inline with Future Transport outcomes

Oversee the rail development pipeline, strategic planning projects and proposals.

Promote evidence-based planning for transport investment and ensure planning is informed by data and stakeholder input.

Represent Transport for NSW in committees, working groups, and advisory bodies.

Offer strategic advice and risk mitigation recommendations to senior leadership.

About you
Deep understanding of transport policy, planning frameworks, and regulatory environments, particularly within the context of metropolitan rail networks.

Extensive senior-level experience in rail transport planning, infrastructure strategy project development within government or complex organisational environments.

Proven leadership of cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams, with a focus on collaboration, performance, and delivering integrated transport outcomes.

Strong capability in business case development, including early-stage options assessment, strategic analysis, benefits and requirements management and alignment with government investment processes.

Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships and advocate effectively at organisational, executive, ministerial, and community levels.

Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate political sensitivity and drive high-impact, long-term network improvements.

Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement, using data insights and customer needs to inform rail planning and investment decisions
