In this role, you'll:
Be working as part of high performing team delivering business services functions, you will
- Provide high-level confidential executive and administrative support to the Chief Investigator, including diary and calendar management, meeting coordination, and preparation of correspondence, submissions, briefs and reports.
- Act as a key liaison point on behalf of senior executives—managing information flow and ensuring communication is clear, timely and appropriately prioritised.
- Coordinate the delivery of corporate services and business operations across the agency’s senior leadership team, including areas such as Work Health and Safety, Records and Information Management, Contract and Procurement, Audit, HR/IR Management, and Business Reporting.
- Facilitate the smooth running of monthly governance and committee meetings.
- Support compliance with OTSI’s business management systems, contribute to continuous improvement, and partner with key stakeholders including Transport for NSW for the provision of enabling corporate services.

About you
Your demonstrated knowledge and experience lending executive support and business services functions formed across roles you have held in the public sector will see you excel in this role.
You will be a pro-active thinker who can forecast and mitigate issues in a timely manner to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the business unit.
- You're a proactive professional with demonstrated experience in providing executive support and coordinating business operations—ideally within the public sector.
- You anticipate needs, mitigate risks, and keep things moving, even in complex or sensitive environments.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong grasp of corporate protocols.
- You’re comfortable managing confidential information, balancing competing priorities, and working independently while remaining responsive to team needs.
- You enjoy working collaboratively and can influence and coordinate across multiple stakeholders.
Who we are
The Office of Transport Safety Investigations (OTSI) is the independent ‘no-blame’ transport safety investigator for NSW.
Our role is to improve transport safety and enhance public confidence in the safety of the network by conducting fair and balanced investigations and sharing safety lessons and insights with bus, ferry and rail operators, regulators, and other stakeholders who can take action to improve the safety of services.
OTSI also manages the Confidential Safety Information Reporting Scheme (CSIRS) which gives transport workers a confidential way to make a report about a safety issue affecting a bus, ferry or rail service.
