Finance Manager Analysis

In this role, you'll:
Work with the Alternate Transport Planning team to prepare accurate, timely and constructive reporting on all aspects of project performance.
Manage budgets, contracts, and payment processes to ensure accurate and timely payment to service providers, including auditing claims and contract variations.
Maintain and improve financial models, systems, and controls to enhance decision-making and streamline financial information access.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with stakeholders to provide thorough analysis and support for proposals and improvements.
The team currently work flexibly and splits their time between office days and the team’s home hub at Elizabeth Street. The ability to be based regionally is also supported with the understanding of in office days depending on project requirements.
This role is fixed-term with a duration till May 2026
Transport for NSW is currently in consultation to determine our workplace presence proposal which could see non-frontline employees primarily required to work from an approved office location under a hybrid agreement. This particular role is currently based at our Sydney CBD hub at Elizabeth Street.
The proposed changes do not impact the availability of flexible, hybrid working arrangements at Transport. We remain committed to providing an inclusive working environment and supporting all employees to work effectively and productively.

About you

Proven experience managing budgets, contracts, and payment processes in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to audit financial claims and interpret contract terms accurately
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Proficient in developing and maintaining financial models, systems, and reporting tools for improved decision-making.
Detail-oriented and proactive, with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and problem-solving.
Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience and full membership of a recognised professional accounting body.
