Investment Analyst (Temporary Opportunity up to 8 months)

In this role, you'll:
Be part of our Planning, Integration and Passenger division and this position will see you contribute to financial and transport data analysis, and assist in providing freight investment, business case and economic advice to project and investment teams to improve end-to-end freight outcomes for our customers and community. Key initiatives you'll be involved in include the development of new freight benefits, implementing key actions from freight policies and influencing investment decision making.
You will also be involved in researching, collating, analysing, reviewing and preparing evidence based reporting to support the development of:
- Long-term state-wide transport strategy, frameworks and guidance
- Transport plans, studies and business cases
- Economic appraisals, funding submissions and benefit realisation reviews/evaluations.
This is a unique opportunity to influence high value freight projects that will positively impact the lives of our customers.
This is a temporary, full time position up to 31/12/2025.

About you
You have well-rounded experience in the analysis of quantitative data, and ideally exposure to the freight industry or similar. You enjoy working on a high volume and diverse portfolio of projects, and are driven to contribute to achieving value for money outcomes for our customers.
You are someone who works collaboratively with others, builds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders, and you have the ability to influence decision making at all levels. You are also committed to managing and prioritising competing demands and responsibilities in a complex and evolving environment.
Experience working in transport planning, transport modelling, technical writing, business case writing and economic modelling, along with experience in the project space will be highly regarded.
