In this role, you'll:

Lead Sydney Metro’s interests across a complex station precinct with a strong focus on strata, Building Management Statements (BMS) and facilities management. You will be the primary interface with owners corporations, strata and building managers and facilities managers ensuring Sydney Metro’s obligations as a lot owner are clearly understood, complied with and effectively managed.

 

You will:

  • Lead relationships with strata, building and facilities managers to oversee the operation of shared facilities and back of house areas, resolve defects and non-compliance and ensure decisions made in BMS and facilities forums protect the railway and support whole-of-precinct outcomes.
  • Manage a range of activities to effectively integrate the metro station and precinct with the local community whilst maintaining and protecting the network as required.
  • Play a key role in driving enhanced customer experiences and benefits realisation for the local community, including driving value for money and secondary revenue opportunities across the precinct where these are compatible with safe and reliable operations.
  • Engage with key third party stakeholders within the station precinct including developers, adjoining landowners, retailers, commercial tenants, utilities and local government  and analyse their interests, applying expert analysis and problem solving skills to negotiate outcomes that protect the station precinct and optimise results for Sydney Metro and third parties.
  • Monitor adjacent construction and delivery works and their interface with the station and shared facilities, informing operational decision making in consultation with the Sydney Metro Operator to ensure the safety, stability and performance of the operating rail line.

About you

You are experienced in working with strata, building and facilities managers on complex commercial or transport assets and are comfortable representing an owner’s interests in BMS, strata and facilities management forums. You manage stakeholder relationships through clear communication, firm but fair negotiation and proactive issues management, holding parties to account while maintaining constructive, solution focused partnerships.

 

You excel in an environment with multiple competing deadlines, bringing a structured, risk based approach to prioritising work across a busy station precinct and you can confidently interpret property, contractual and technical information to provide clear, practical advice.
