In this role, you'll:


be working within the Finance, Technology & Commercial Division, under the Commercial & Energy Management branch. We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Owner to drive product direction, vision, strategy and road maps for a new greenfield data insights product, supporting our SCATS Technology.
 
SCATS enables cities around the world including Sydney, to optimise their transport networks in real-time. SCATS helps global cities manage congestion, improve road user safety, and lower their emissions by reducing energy consumption.
 
This role is responsible for prioritising and ensuring that the business requirements are met by the Scrum team. You will be working closely with a Technical Lead and a Scrum Master to ensure that the voice of the customer, the product requirements and the business outcomes are reflected in each deliverable.

About you


You will be an experienced Senior Product Owner, who enjoys challenging the status quo to find innovated solutions. You will have a product-focused mindset paired with a curiosity to deeply understand the end-to-end user experience. Driven by the challenge of building products that surface the right information at the right time. You see data not just as a backend asset, but as a core part of the user experience, and you're excited by the opportunity to create insight-led features that empower decision-making.

You possess strong leadership skills to drive projects forward and have exceptional written and verbal communication, as you will be expected to present to both technical and no technical stakeholders. You’re well versed in the Agile way of life, with experience working alongside a multi-disciplinary delivery team (Designers, BAs, Engineers, Data Scientists etc) and you will have exceptional holistic problem solving abilities. You will be experienced in translating product strategy into a product roadmap, in collaboration with Product Managers ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Experience working with data and insights products is highly advantageous.  Also required are the following technology skills:

• Experience in designing, developing and productising APIs - essential
• Cloud experience - AWS
• SaaS Solutions
• Power BI & Tableau
