In this role, you'll:
Work within our Workforce Capability & Learning Team within the People and Culture Branch of Sydney Trains, with a focus on both high level support to the director as well as high value future-focused communication and engagement strategies for a team that deliver the corporate learning programs and the marketing needs from this.
This role will see you involved in developing communication plans and content and leading the execution of our corporate communication plans as you build our horizontal plan. You will be looking at the channel strategy, digital footprint and the different ways we can communicate our digital content.
You will also be involved in business support that will involve supporting the Directors diary management and business coordination activities. This will see you preparing both routine and ad hoc reports, presentations and executive documents to ensure stakeholders receive relevant, accurate and timely information.

About you
Your tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a similar discipline, or equivalent experience will see you bringing demonstrated experience in developing communication plans and content and providing key business support activities within a complex and large stakeholder environment.
You’re recognised as being very proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and communication platforms like Adobe Creative Suite, together with a strong understanding of diary management.
In addition to this, you are comfortable collaborating with people within a large complex stakeholder environment with the ability to drive change through your communication and content creation.
This is an Award RC6 Temporary Fixed-Term Full-Time role till 30/09/2026 based at Petersham but will involve travelling to our other office locations in the Sydney Metropolitan area. The role will be mostly office based with some flexibility through our cutting-edge hybrid working model!. Typically, you will be in the office around 85% of the time.
