In this role, you'll:

Report to the District Works Manager within our Road Maintenance & Resilience division and will play a key role in leading the delivery of Road Maintenance and Construction projects that make a real impact across the network. Your role will be focused on managing the safe, efficient, and effective planning and execution of projects and programs, ensuring they meet all legislative, client, and customer requirements.

You will lead and inspire multi-disciplinary site teams to work safely, collaboratively, and with a strong customer focus. You’ll be a driver of innovation, constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and resourcing methods.

You will bring a high level of influence to the development and safety in design processes, proactively identify and manage delivery risks, and build strong working relationships with contractors and internal service providers. You’ll also take the lead in administering and delivering contracts, acting as the representative on selected agreements.

Please note this is a Permanent Full Time role based in Tamworth. Travel will be required to meet business deliverables.

About you

You have excellent practical delivery experience managing direct control and contract resources that will guide you and our teams to deliver and manage risks. You’re a strong communicator and influential team player, capable of building key relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
You will have a four-year civil/structural engineering degree from an Australian University or equivalent overseas qualifications.  You have demonstrated experience in program preparation and budgeting for road construction and maintenance engineering works, as well as experience in contract management including documentation, tendering procedures, and contract administration.
