In this role, you'll:

 

Be an experienced Truck Driver (MR GENERAL) and join our Maintenance and Delivery Crew based in Tenterfield NSW

 

  • Operate Light and Medium Rigid vehicles (with a GVM of greater than 4.5 tonnes) as an MR Truck Driver for the Maintenance & Delivery team
  • Tow any trailers that their vehicle is rated to tow
  • Carry out general road worker labouring duties of a Road Worker Grade 3 when not operating the truck
  • In addition to the above, the trucks operated by this position may include water tankers and Flocon Trucks (asphalt transport)
  • Work collaboratively with the team including Team Leaders and Works Supervisors to manage the day-to-day operations and tasks as well as resolve issues that may arise
  • Keep up to date with WHS legislation and policies and procedures as it relates to minimising risk and keeping to safe work standards
  • Work a 9 Day Fortnight

About you

 

We are looking for experienced Truck Drivers who has the capability to work under limited supervision and has experience in maintaining a safe and injury free workplace for all employees while operating in a high speed, high traffic volume environment.

 

Essential Licenses and Tickets:

 

  • Medium Rigid - Medium Rigid Vehicle Licence
  • Current Construction Industry White Card
  • Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed

 

Labouring experience in a construction or civil environment and experience and understanding of local road networks across the district.

We take WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously. Therefore, to be successful in this role it is a requirement that you must reside within a 100km radius of the Tenterfield works depots

 

Whilst not required, experience in operating plant (excavator, bobcat, padfoot/smooth drum roller) is advantageous.
