Program Delivery Officer
Wagga Wagga, NSW, AU, 2650
You’re ready to work on everything from city-shaping work, to delivering smaller-scale projects that connect regions and improve local communities.
This is your opportunity to broaden your experience and perspectives, step out of the confines of a standard project role and expand your scope to work with an interconnected ecosystem of industry professionals.
In this role, you'll:
Work as part of our Regional and Outer Metropolitan Program Delivery Southern team to assist the development and delivery of Road Safety and Traffic Management programs in accordance with time, cost, quality and scope requirements.
The Program Delivery Team South are an innovative and supportive team that nominates, develops and oversees delivery of infrastructure projects for our regional customers and communities. You will be contributing to the development and delivery of projects funded under programs such as the Towards Zero Program and the $20m Kings Highway and $20m Monaro Highway Upgrade Programs.
You will be interfacing between delivery and client agents to oversee and ensure the delivery of programs, reporting on project forecasting and milestones and ensure that project outcomes provide value for money and fulfil the agreed road safety and traffic outcomes.
You will get the opportunity to see unique and beautiful parts of rural and regional NSW with a mix of office based and site work. Transport for NSW is currently in consultation to determine our workplace presence proposal which could see non-frontline employees primarily required to work from an approved office location under a hybrid agreement.
This particular role is currently based at our Wagga Wagga office hub.
The proposed changes do not impact the availability of flexible, hybrid working arrangements at Transport. We remain committed to providing an inclusive working environment and supporting all employees to work effectively and productively.

About you
You are experienced in and have a strong understanding of project coordination/management related to road safety, design, traffic or engineering, and are looking to be a part of projects that have a real impact on the local community.
Engineering qualifications are not essential as you will be the conduit between service providers, clients and program sponsors. You are strong at developing and maintaining relationships with a wide range of inter-disciplinary stakeholders and at working collaboratively to ensure good project outcomes.
The right person will be comfortable asking challenging questions in meeting forums to advocate for client interests on time, cost, scope and risk. You hold a drivers licence and are able to travel independently throughout the region as required to attend site inspections and project locations, which from time to time requires overnight stays.
