In this role, you'll:


Work as part of our Road Maintenance and Resilience Program Delivery South team to assist the development and delivery of Road Safety and Traffic Management programs in accordance with time, cost, quality and scope requirements.

The Program Delivery Team South are an innovative and supportive team that nominates, develops and oversees delivery of infrastructure projects for our regional customers and communities. You will be contributing to the development and delivery of civil works projects funded under programs such as the Princes Highway Upgrade Program.

You will be interfacing between delivery and client agents to oversee and ensure the delivery of programs, reporting on project forecasting and milestones and ensuring that project outcomes provide value for money and fulfil the agreed road safety and traffic outcomes.

You will get the opportunity to see unique and beautiful parts of rural and regional NSW with a mix of office based and site work.

There are currently two fixed term full time roles available (up to 30 June 2027) which would ideally be based in Wollongong/Illawarra Region. Other TfNSW office / depot locations on the NSW south coast would be considered by negotiation for the ideal candidate.  TfNSW is committed to hybrid ways of working therefore consideration will be given to providing flexible working arrangements for the successful candidates.

Role description.


About you


You are experienced in and have a strong understanding of project coordination and program management.

While engineering qualifications are not essential, experience related to road safety, design, traffic or engineering would be highly regarded.

You will be the conduit between service providers, clients and program sponsors and are strong at developing and maintaining relationships with a wide range of inter-disciplinary stakeholders while working collaboratively to ensure good project outcomes.

The right person will be comfortable asking challenging questions in meeting forums to advocate for client interests on time, cost, scope and risk.
 
You have experience in financial governance, reporting, milestone tracking and cost analysis.

You are a self-starter who is able to hit the ground running. You are able to think creatively to solve problems and find solutions. You’re flexible and proactive and use your initiative and organisational skills to ensure projects deliver the required outcomes.

You hold a driver’s licence and are able to travel independently throughout the region as required to attend site inspections and project locations, which from time to time will also require overnight stays.
